The Open Heart Studio runs regular meditations as well as participative singing mantra meditations with the unique Satya.
Satya, loosely translated from Sanskrit to mean “truth”, is a world-music-inspired group from Johannesburg performing kirtan – devotional chanting of mantra. This unique three- person band features Natalie Vlismas (vocals & piano), Gidon Lazarus (guitar), and Samora Ntsebeza (percussion).
Satya’s live mantra-based musical performances are designed to guide and transport listeners to a meditative, healing soundscape. By definition a group experience, kirtan encourages audience participation. The chant set by the performers engenders an arousing, powerful interactive group experience that leaves participants elevated and inspired.
